Love their mei fun, shumai appetizer is truly tasty excellent. Tasty lightly spiced not at all aggressive on a sensitive stomach my loved ones all have. very excellent classic diner choices and classic pan asian fare. they are our favorite we ordered their food so often when we were moving highly recommend their food The ice cream is so amazing my cat is constantly sneaking over and trying to help herself to a bowl while I serve everyones dessert that I had to give her a little dish with a spoonful of lactose free yogurt before I serve dessert after we eat dinner either way Ican say that homemade ice cream is very tempting it never lasts long in my home, if you want an interesting mix of asian, diner food and nice service then I certainly suggest giving Baumgarts a try if you are looking for tasty well prepped food and ice cream.

Baumgarts is a staple for me. I love all of their noodle dishes. I recommend trying a milk shake if it's your first time! The service is always great. They are always so warm and welcoming. The vibe is a retro diner feel. It's super unique and I like anything in this area. Highly recommend.

Their ice cream is the best butter pecan I have had. Their healthy creations with all veggies in garlic sauce is amazingly simple but super tasty. Their staff is very nice, their diner food I have tried is great they are so nice. Service is good, people who take the orders are very nice, friendly Delivery people are fast efficient and good they seem to have a nice ambiance and even though my family has some tummy issues with certain foods they have been extremely nice about adjusting the mei fun dishes which is awesome as not everyone does that.

I love Baumgart's. I'm here all the time! the staff is always great, they're kinda no nonsense and I love that. The big noodle bowls are incredible, by far my favorite comfort meal! I also love the wonton soup I think it's the best in the area. The sizzling duck crepe and Shanghai wontons are the best appetizers on the menu!

Whoa! Completely unexpected! My neighbors invited us to dinner and it certainly was a great choice! The building is so unassuming that you're not sure what to expect, however once inside it's like being transported via Time Machine to a retro 70's diner. The decor I dare say original and in perfect condition. Loved it! Now, the dish that cannot be missed is the sesame noodles. A MUST HAVE! The noodles are hand rolled. It is heaven! Sorry no photo because we ate it so quickly! The General Tso Chicken amazing! And the Crispy Chicken with Honey Walnuts is delicious. Finished with a Scoop of Ice Cream! The service was quick, genuinely courteous and unobtrusive. AND it's BYOB!!! Worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

Just went to Baumgart's in Ridgewood for the first time; truly, my only issue was how many times I drove past it because I missed it! (White building across the street from Stop & Shop; there's parking in the back). I'm with folks who were baffled by the menu -- and then switched from baffled to delighted. I had a serving of chicken lo mein -- with homemade lo mein noodles -- and it was truly the best I've ever had. The sauce was not heavy or greasy as in many Chinese restaurants, but light yet still flavorful. Followed that by a scoop of their homemade ice cream (don't judge my nutritional pyramid, we're still in a pandemic and I'm gleefully eating my feelings whenever I can!). So, so good. I didn't feel like I could give five stars because I only tried two things, but I do plan to go back and am likely going to pop another star on there. Had zero issues with servers; ours was nice and attentive, but not overly so. Can't wait to go back here!
